Naomi Munts

Naomi is a copy-editor and proofreader living in Southampton, England, with her husband and three children. She graduated from Southampton University in 2006 with a first-class degree in English language and literature. Naomi has a lifelong interest in history, and she’s currently writing a novel set during ancient Egypt’s Middle Kingdom. In the meantime, she enjoys expanding her knowledge through copy-editing work on various historical magazines.

If Naomi were stranded on a desert island, the two historical novels she would want with her are The Robe by Lloyd C. Douglas – the book that first sparked Naomi’s interest in ancient Rome and, from there, ancient history in general – and, for something more recent, The King’s Curse by Philippa Gregory, because Margaret Pole is such a fascinating (and tragic) character and Gregory is a master when it comes to giving a voice to history’s ‘forgotten’ women.

“I was delighted with Naomi’s copy-edits to my novel. She was thorough, punctual, and the style guide she provided was precise and easy to understand. Having a professional like Naomi as my copy-editor gave me confidence in the quality of the finished product.”
