A graduate of Cambridge University, Andrew’s passion for history and historical fiction inspired him to establish The History Quill, having worked as a freelance editor before that. He spends most of his time running the business and developing new services for our clients, but he can occasionally be found working quietly on his historical fiction WIP – or at least thinking about it!

Andrew lives by the coast in Wales with his wife, son, and two energetic golden retrievers, who enjoy taking him on walks.

If Andrew were stranded on a desert island, the two historical novels he would want with him are Dissolution by CJ Sansom (a masterclass in historical mystery, Andrew’s favourite genre) and A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens (a powerful and moving story that perfectly captures the turmoil of the French Revolution).
